My name is Amirah and I work in the field of Digital Design and have worked on and would like to continue working on projects that would play a part in making the world a better place for everyone. Sounds cliché but it's true! Because that's just who I am.
It was why I got into the Science industry. I have a Bachelors's degree in Biomedical Science and have spent 9 years in the Biotechnology industry working in the Oligonucleotide Manufacturing field from which I later moved on to a Customer Care role where my interest in User Experience (UX) strengthened.
I'm a cat momma, meet MAXI. She was taken in when she was about 4 weeks old as her previous owner wasn't able to take care of her and give her lots of TLC.
Why UX?

To be honest, It dawned on me how important UX was after seeing many companies being indifferent to the impact that a good user experience has on their business. I have experienced it firsthand in my role as customer support. I'd like to use the insight that I've gathered from attending to customers to the field of UX/UI and help companies be successful in delighting their audience.
